anyway here’s my petition for you to watch the Quantum Leap reboot because I love it dearly
one of the characters in the core group is non-binary (and they’re so fucking hot)
there’s no stupid pining love story, the main couple is already in a relationship at the beginning of the show and they’re very sweet
there are so many episodes that deal with the struggle of immigrants, generational trauma, and complicated family dynamics that don’t play any the struggles of minorities as jokes.
there’s an entire episode about a trans girl played by a trans actress
even though the episodes are formulaic, they’re not predictable and it brings up very interesting issues that come into play with time travel
Also! time travel is shown in a not basic ass bitch way (even though it’s a reboot the style of time travel is still very cool)
it’s just so good and me recommending it to you should be enough to get you to watch it k byeeeee
I depend on y’all to keep me up on new shows and not one of you has posted about Quantum Leap that I’ve seen
and it’s SO FUCKING GOOD
god, i miss long seasons of television and the kind of storytelling and characterization you can get from it and QL feels like old school television in the best way
